Workspace

I have set up shop in my garage. It is a standard Aussie double garage, which has more than enough space for the workbench, tool bench, part racks and a car. My car will now stay outside until the plane is built, but my son’s S-Pack Commodore can stay undercover – it’s better than mine anyway.

The workbench has three layers. The top is made of tongue and groove flooring supported by cross members - a very straight and strong structure. The middle level also has cross members which support the Sonex pallet containing all the aluminium sheeting. The bottom layer is one side of the shipping box, which is supported also.

The only thing I couldn’t fit in to the garage is the cowl – that is resident in the garden shed until it’s needed sometime in 2008.
