Wings

While waiting for another rear spar channel to be made up, I went ahead and prepared all the forward and rear ribs, alodining the lot and riveting the gussets in place. I also decided to fabricate and install both aileron bellcrank assemblies. These went together better than I anticipated, with both having nice, snug fittings without much, if any, play in them.

The web and rib spacers took a few hours to fabricate, but it was more time-consuming than challenging. I decided to trial fit the ribs to the main and rear spars - and was pleasantly surprised when all my rear spar holes lined up perfectly with the aft ribs. You can see in the photos how much of a bend is in the main spar, but it takes very little pressure to straighten it.

My next challenge will be building the root ribs.
