Moving Day

The move from my garage to the airport went pretty smoothly. Doug McLean took a day off work to help me take the pride and joy up to Goulburn Airport, about 100km north of Canberra. We used two flat bed car trailers to take the fuselage and wings - the wings were carried on a cradle that Doug made, which worked out so well.

The trip up the freeway was a bit of a buzz, with each car that passed us having a good sticky beak. All the men seemed to stare, but the ladies couldn't care less! When we arrived at the Goulburn Airport hangar, we set to work attaching the wings. This took a couple of hours and was made easier by my decision to take some material out between the two front lightening holes in each root rib, to make the job of attaching the flap drive rod easier. Without this, I do not know how one would attach the flaps.

Anyhow, all that's left is attaching the floor, running the engine and getting this craft into the air.
